Day 89 – Mt Owen

  • West

We have hit the (wild wild) West! Kicking things off, a sunny stroll up Mt Owen. I took Uncle Robert’s bike with me so I could ride it back down, saving unnecessary load on my sub-par knee! Huge shoutout to Wild Roam Tasmania who gave me a lift when they came across me, and the Pandani Bushwalking Club members who enjoyed the summit as I did, with its views over Queenstown, Lake Burbury and the West Coast! I finished the day by trying to tow the Cubbi up the Darwin Plateau 4WD track, but I got stuck on a huge hill so,after an exorbitant amount of effort expended, I managed to manually turn it all around and camp at the bottom.
