Blood warning! A wrong turn at the beginning of today’s off-track adventure led to a SERIOUS and prolonged scrub bash – DON’T GO THE WAY I WENT. Thankfully, I exited, and made my way in a sore state to the top of Mt Sedgwick! Views were great, but I had to make it back quickly before dark. Not focusing, and I slipped down rock to cut myself fairly solidly… Not ideal! Luckily I carry an ambulance-sized first aid kit always, and patched myself up prior to finishing the hike witnessing a glorious fading sunset. Thanks so much to the lovely nurses and doctors of Queenstown Hospital, who were so kind and caring, and cleaned me up and dressed my wounds!
